Cyxtera, the Florida-based data centre operator, has announced that it is increasing capacity at its existing Chicago and Silicon Valley facilities as well as building a new data centre in Silicon Valley.
The new Silicon Valley facility, located in Santa Clara, is a 9MW 120,000 sq ft data centre which is currently under construction. It is expected to be operational in late 2022. The building will be Cyxtera’s third at its SF04 campus.
The company operates more than 60 data centres globally, providing services to a customer-base of over 2000 leading enterprises.
