DataBank breaks ground on sixth Utah data centre

DataBank has broken ground on its latest facility in Salt Lake City,  Located in Bluffdale,  the new SLC6 data centre sits on DataBank’s 23 acre Granite Point Campus, which houses four other DataBank facilities and is powered from an on-site 66MW substation. SLC6 will add 100,000 sq ft of data centre space and 22MW of total power.

In addition to confirming its intention to build a seventh data centre in the area, DataBank also plans to increase capacity across several other locations including Texas, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Indianapolis, Indiana and Denver.

DataBank, which is owned by DigitalBridge, recently raised over $750 million in secure revenue notes to fund the current programme of upgrades and developments.
