NTT has said it will be increasing its real estate footprint in Germany by 40%, adding around 30,000 sq m (323,00 sq ft) of IT space across its existing campuses in Frankfurt, Bonn and Berlin.
At its Frankfurt 1 facility, the company has begun work on a new 7.3MW building which will add 4,300sqm (46,300 sq ft) of floor space and is due to complete in Q2 2022. There are further plans for two new buildings at its Frankfurt 4 facility, each adding 6MW and 4,700 sqm (50,600 sq ft) of floor space.
Berlin 1 will have a new 5MW building with 2,500 sqm (26,900 sq ft) added. Berlin 2 will have an additional two buildings totalling 24MW and 10,000 sqm (107,000 sq ft). Both projects are currently under construction and due to open Q1 2022.
In the company’s Rhine-Ruhr campus at Bonn, NTT will construct a build-to-suit data centre of 4.8MW and 2,620 sqm (28,200 sq ft) of space.
At the company’s Munich 2 campus, work was completed on a second building last year.
