Prime Data Centers has announced plans to build a new campus in Elk Grove a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, known as Chicago’s “Golden Corridor”. This will be the company’s first development outside California.
The company said it plans to invest around $1 billion developing a 750,000 sq ft, 150MW campus featuring three three-storey facilities
“We are excited about the opportunity to enter the Midwest market in a big way. These types of facilities are in high demand from some of the world’s largest companies,” said Prime’s EVP of sales and business development, Jeff Barber. “Partnering with Elk Grove Village to meet the demand for data center capacity is incredibly strategic to both Prime and the greater Chicago market in general.”
