Princeton Digital Group is to build a US$150 million, greenfield data centre in Indonesia. Jakarta Cibitung 2 (JC2) is a 22MW development that will sit on the same campus as JC1, taking the extended campus to 35MW.
“The Asia Pacific region is set to be the largest data center market in the world, and this announcement underscores our vision to be the market leader in this region,” said Rangu Salgame, CEO of Princeton Digital Group.
Stephanus Tumbelaka, PDG’s Managing Director of Indonesia added: “Jakarta is an exciting market, Cibitung being the pre-eminent cloud cluster in the region. With the expanded campus, PDG has become a significant player in the Indonesian market. With the explosive economic growth and rapid digitalization by both government and private sectors in Indonesia, the market is core to PDG’s strategy.”
This latest project announcement follows the news in late June from PDG in Japan, where it is developing a $1 billion facility, set to become one of the largest hyperscale data centres in Tokyo.
