The Tier III, carrier neutral facility, located in Kampala Industrial & Business Park, has a colocation space of up to 400 racks. The data centre has over 11 carriers including Africell Uganda, Airtel Uganda, Liquid Telecom, MTN Uganda, SEACOM and Uganda Telecom.
Raxio, which was established in 2018 by Roha Group, is also developing data centres in DRC, Ethiopia, and Mozambique and plans to build up to 12 facilities across Africa within three years. The expansion will be funded by a USD $48 million investment made by fund Manager Meridiam earlier this year.
