Overview
Altice Portugal (which was formerly known as Portugal Telecom) is the largest telecommunications provider in Portugal.
Since June 2015, the company has been a subsidiary of Altice, which is a French multinational cable and telecommunications company with a presence across Western Europe, The United States, Israel and the Caribbean. Altice also owns MEO, the largest landline operator in Portugal.
The company's data centre operations have been centred in a self-build capacity, with the primary goal of supporting their business operations in the country. However, they seem to be scaling back their data centre operations, with their facility in Covilha - one of the largest sites in Portugal - currently up for sale.
