Overview

Bahnhof is a Swedish Internet and hosting services provider having multiple data centres across Sweden - 2 of them are located underground.

Even those who have little familiarity with data centres, perhaps have heard of its Pionen facility which launched in 2008. Pionen data centre is located in Cold War army shelter/bunker protecting from nuclear bombs. For this facility lighting design, architects took ideas from movies 'Silent Running' and a series of James Bond Films. Thus, the interior of the data centre resembles sci-fi/action movies.

However, this is not an only Bahnhof facility which pieces of design stands out. In the media, Thule facility sometimes gets compared to disco hall due to dry ice and neon hoops lighting.

To date, Bahnhof latest facility Elementica located in Stockholm is largest facility in company`s portfolio.
