Overview
EcoDataCenter AB was formed in March 2014.
EcoDataCenter is a joint venture between local energy company Falu Energi&Vatten and a data centre operator EcoDC. In 2018, the ownership of EcoDataCenter was transferred to Areim - Nordic property owner and fund manager. In June 2019, EcoDataCenter merged with Fortlax. From October 2020, Fortlax exists as a brand.
In May 2023, Areim announced closure of the Areim DC fund after having reached its target with 446million euros in committed capital from "leading institutional investors".
