As the enterprise gained more and more customers from outside of Novo Nordisk Group portfolio, the company changed its name to NNIT in 2004. In 2015, NNIT got listed on NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen A/S.

To date, company has three data centres (two of which are owned and operated by the company) which customers are primarily domestic life science companies as well as public, enterprise and financial sector businesses.

As of January 2022, NNIT’s new organization will consist of three business units: Life Sciences Solutions, Cloud & Digital Solutions and Hybrid Cloud Solutions. The new organization will replace the old structure of two customer-facing business units (Life Sciences and Private & Public) and two delivery units (Cloud & Digital Solutions and Infrastructure Outsourcing).

In June 2022, Agilitas Private Equity (European fund that owns another Danish data centre operator - Cibicom) signed the agreement to back the buy-out of NNIT’s IT infrastructure outsourcing business.
