Overview

Scala Data Centres is a Latin American hyperscale data centre constructor founded in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is funded primarily by Digital Bridge, a subsidiary of Digital Realty. Other investors in the company include, the International Finance Corporation and the Olayan Group a global investment fund.

They are the first company in their region to operate with 100% renewable energy and be carbon neutral from day one.

Their first hyperscale facility was a single tenant facility in Tamboré, Sao Paulo and they have since expanded with 57 properties in Latin America, 5 properties are currently operation with the rest under construction. They currently have 50MW of initial IT capacity, expandable to 900MW.
