Tiscali

Overview

Tiscali, a subsidiary of Tessellis, is an Italian telecommunications company headquartered in Cagliari, on the island of Sardinia. Founded in 1999, Tiscali began providing services in ADSL and internet service solutions through numerous acquisitions. Notable takeovers include Dutch ISP WorldOnline in 2000, French ISP Liberty Surf in 2001, and Video Network Internationals' business in the UK in 2004. In 2019, Tiscali formed a partnership with Italian companies Open Fiber and Linkem towards an expansion into the fixed wireless market. The latter partnership took effect in 2022 and the group now operates in the ultrabroadband access segment in fixed wireless access and FTTH solutions.
