Big Data Exchange upgrades Singapore facility

Big Data Exchange (BDx) has added 2MW of capacity to its Tier III data centre, SIN1, in Paya Leber, Singapore. Further expansion is planned for later this year which will add 4 floors and 8MW, taking the total capacity to 14MW.

The facility was original owned by Telstra and launched in April 2014 with 3.6 MW capacity. BDx acquired the data centre in April 2020 and immediately began expanding it to meet demand in Singapore.

Hong Kong based BDx has a total of six facilities across China and Southeast Asia in Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
