Q.Beyond sells Nuremberg data centre to DATEV

German operator q.beyond has sold its Nuremberg data centre to IT service provider DATEV for an undisclosed sum. DATEV is already an existing tenant in the 10,765 sq ft facility.

In June q.beyond, formerly known as QSC, said it was considering selling its colocation business, including potentially the sale of a majority stake or a full divestment. The company currently operates three data centres located in Munich and Nuremberg through its wholly owned IP Exchange GmbH subsidiary.

With the sale, q.beyond said its “room for manoeuvre for further acquisitions” has increased and and announced an interest in the majority takeover of technology companies that strengthen its existing industry focus, expand its product portfolio or supplement its current technology competences. q.beyond added that it would decide on the future of IP Exchange GmbH in the autumn.
