Sydney has long been recognised as Australia’s main data centre market and a regional hub. In contrast, the neighbouring markets of Melbourne and Canberra have received little attention, despite having witnessed record rates of growth in recent years.
Comparing the two metros offers an interesting perspective on how different clientele profiles within the East Australian region have fueled the growth in data centres within the two cities, which presently hold comparable volumes of fitted-out capacity.
