An Emerging Data Centre Market
Introduction
Data centre growth has sprawled across the Asia Pacific region, with extensive growth witnessed among the Northeast Asian markets. While recent investor interest has primarily focused on major markets such as Japan and Korea, a market that has begun to pique the interest of industry watchers is the emerging market of Taiwan.
As the fifth most populous Northeast Asian country, Taiwan is home to over 23 million people and is best known for being a manufacturing hub and specifically, a semiconductor-producing powerhouse. Positioned at the forefront of the artificial intelligence (AI) supply chain and by extension, the next generation of data centres, local data centre infrastructure has grown steadily, with an influx of new interest in the market as of late.
