Overview
The Polish data centre market has historically consisted of retail colocation facilities occupied mainly by enterprises. Nowadays, we are seeing a shift towards a wholesale colocation market that is driven mainly by accelerated cloud adoption by enterprises and the public sector.
The market has grown significantly in the past four years, going from 184 MW in 2020 to 481 MW of total capacity in 2024 with most of the growth occurring in Warsaw. Supply and demand has remained consistent, with the highest uptick of supply noted in 2022 driven by the entrance of major international players in the market. Poland's central location in Europe as well as its proximity to major established and emerging markets, and its potential for renewable energy makes it an attractive hub for data centre development.
